Home Hospitality: An Evening of Fellowship and Connection (29th August 2025).
The Rotary Club of Kigali Golf marked the end of Membership Month with its first Home Hospitality gathering on Friday, 29 August at the residence of President-Nominee and Strategy Director PHF Shema.
The event provided members and guests with a relaxed environment to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen relationships. Representatives from the Rotary Club of Kigali Virunga, the Rotaract Club of KIE, and CP Apollo were in attendance.
The evening included networking, August birthday acknowledgements, a farewell to Rtn Simba as he returns to Zimbabwe, and two raffle rounds supported by partners. Appreciation goes to the event hosts — PHF Shema Ida Murangira, PHF Julie Mutoni, and President PHF Andrew Kulayige for facilitating an engaging and welcoming space.

Vision With Purpose: Advancing the Glasses and Mobility Support Project.
A key highlight of the Home Hospitality event was the formal handover of spectacles and crutches to support the club’s ongoing Glasses Project.
Through contributions from international donors Stewart Samkange (Ireland) and Samantha Coom (South Africa), the club received 350 pairs of glasses earmarked for distribution to selected health and community institutions.
Three beneficiary partners were identified: Runda Hospital, Musha Catholic Church Hospital, and the Body for the Visually Impaired. Musha has demonstrated strong readiness, and distribution will begin there. The Projects Committee, led by Director Eugene, will oversee implementation and monitoring to ensure meaningful impact.
Strengthening Membership: Welcoming Six New Rotarians
The event also featured the induction of six new members into the Rotary Club of Kigali Golf: Rtn Manzi Steven, Rtn Gatari Vincent, Rtn Liza Nshuti, Rtn Mushitsi Alice, Rtn Mercy Kamukama, and Rtn Lalit Palaparthy.
A notable contribution came from Rtn David Ngoga, who invited three of the inductees. The additions reflect the club’s continued growth, diversity, and readiness to take on expanding service initiatives.
