Rotary Club of Kigali Golf President Installation June 20th 2025.
On June 20th, the Rotary Club of Kigali Golf marked a significant milestone with the installation of its second President, Rtn. PHF Andrew Kulayige, succeeding Charter President Rtn. PHF Apollo Nkunda. The ceremony, held in Kigali, brought together Rotarians, Rotaractors, community leaders, Club Presidents, ADGs, PADGs, and visiting members from across the Rotary family. It was a full-house celebration of leadership, growth, and the continued rise of one of Rwanda’s youngest Rotary clubs.
Rtn. Andrew, who currently serves as CEO of Britam Insurance (Rwanda), steps into the role with more than 15 years of leadership experience across multiple sectors. In his inaugural remarks, he emphasized Rotary’s commitment to purpose-driven leadership and meaningful service.
“Rotary is more than service; it’s about purpose and real community impact. Together, we will deepen our impact and champion sustainable initiatives that bring lasting change,” he shared.
The evening also included the induction of new members, recognition of Paul Harris Fellows, appreciation of the outgoing Board, and the introduction of the new 2025–2026 Board. A birthday celebration for Rtn. PHF Julie Mutoni, the incoming President-Elect and Foundation Director, added warmth to an already vibrant night. Entertainment from a world-class live band completed the memorable occasion.

Looking Ahead: Strengthening Impact and Growing Together
In his address, President Andrew reaffirmed the club’s commitment to expanding membership while focusing on high-impact community projects that address Rwanda’s most pressing needs. He highlighted the value of learning from Rotary International and adapting successful global initiatives to the local context.
“We aim to grow not just in numbers, but in the impact we make. By tailoring global best practices to Rwanda’s needs, we can elevate our presence internationally and deliver meaningful change at home,” he noted.
With support from the Rotary Club of Kigali Virunga and Guest of Honor Hon. Paula Ingabire, the installation set a strong foundation for the year ahead. The club now moves forward with renewed energy, ready to Unite for Good and build on the solid groundwork laid in its founding year.
